No. You'd be better off putting it in the bank in an interest-bearing savings account or Certificate of Deposit.

If I were a robber, someones Bible is one of the first places I would look because religious people tend to be more superstitious than others and might think hiding money in a bible provides some kind of protection. Plus, people hide things in books all the time. Be more creative with your hiding space.

That depends..... if you're like me, you find the bible to be a book filled with rubbish..... You may put your money in there one day and throw the book out another and then you're screwed.
Why not just put it in a savings account or get one of those little safes.

1) It would make it difficult to read
2) The bible says that you can not love both God and Wealth. So choose, because mixing them means rejecting God.
3) Give your money to the poor and follow Jesus and you will have riches in heaven.

One of the first places a thief would look, since so many people do it. And if it didn't get stolen, it would devalue with inflation. NOT a biblical way to deal with money. See the "Talents" parable.

I actually keep a small stash of emergency cash in my apartment tucked away in the cover of my bible. It does me more good now than it ever has.
