Is anybody else really depressed at work but usually fine once you get off work?

I tend to get really depressed at work. I don't have any friends at work, and I'm probably going to lose my job late this year or early next year. I don't like what I do. I'm looking for a new job. Once 5:30 rolls around, I feel okay again. Anyone else experience the same thing?

Yeap - I have been at my job almost 9 years and dread coming here everyday. I work for an attorney and get so tired of being fused at because he is a lazy/no good lawyer. I sit alone in the front of the office, no co-workers nearby to chat with, just me and a PC. But it's hard to find a job around our area, so I suck it up and keep it. I smile as soon as I get to my car!

You're not alone. Most people, unfortunately, go to work just to get paid and don't enjoy what they do.

Fortunately, for some of us, we like what we do and also get along with the people we work with. It's a rarity more than it's the norm.

If you're depressed though, I suggest that you call your Employee Assistance Line. It's a confidential call that will help you deal with your depression or stress at work.

I get depressed every Sunday night because I know I have to go to work Monday. I hope that my day flies by so I can go home. We have to find employment that challenges our abilities,and look for something we can deal with for years to come. I hope you find something soon, don't stay longer then needed because you'll be mad at yourself for wasted time.

Sounds like your not being challenged, I would seek other employment too.
