Have you ever noticed how proud and egotistical some of these questions are? LIke, they think they are smarter and nicer than God and that they can somehow cause believers , by their witty and insulting questions, to somehow DOUBT God?

Hello athiests....um...give it a rest , will ya??? Yall spend an inordinate amount of time telling us believers that God is just a figment of our imagination and that He doesn't answer questions....when there is an entire BOOK containing all you ever need to know about HIM, about yourself, about others and about this world we live in.

Do you realize how ignorant you sound when you make comments such as the ones I see here?

You are the ones in la la land...heads in the sand and hands over your ears doesnt make for a very good case for athiesm, in my opinion.

LOL

Oddly enough that is the SAME argument made for EVERY other deity that was ever invented in history.
Hundreds of books over the years describe in great detail the lives and works of other such beings. So, why are you disregarding them?

This simply shows that the men who doubt in God have the nature of being proud and egocentric. I have yet to meet an Atheist or simply a person who doubts in God, and is not proud or does not think of himself above anyone else.
God never intended for these people to find him, only those who are penitent, believe in His words, and are humble are blessed to find Him. God is not a respecter of persons. He will not bow down or give reports or explanations to anyone, not even his believers. He gives answers to the sincere and humblest of prayers that ask for his help, guidance, and blessings.

The egotistical man can think and conjure up as many witty and deceiving logical questions as he can to confuse and sway believers...but a firm believer who has a testimony of God cannot sway and has a perfect understanding and knowledge of God's work on earth. To explain to someone that is constantly on the errand to confuse others and to demean God can never and WILL never understand the spiritual side of human nature and the essence of Christian beliefs - unless he leaves behind this drive that causes him to take away other peoples' happiness.

I think just as happiness comes from a Christian who shares the gospel, so too does the egotistical man. It's a wanting desire to have the approval of people...we do it for God's glory only, as it is a commandment to share the gospel. We don't do it to impress others or to feel good about ourselves - though that's the blessing (side-effect) we get for doing so because that is how we know that we are right with God.

The egotistical man does it for himself only, and does not give the glory to anyone else, so he feels good about himself for himself only.

Well, personally, if I were omnipotent, omniscient and all good and had allowed 4 major releases and countless sub-versions of "The Proper Worship of Me" (that's Judaism with subgroups, Christianity with too bloody many splinter groups to even count, Islam with well only 2 major subgroups thankfully and most recently Bahá'í), I would have anticipated this would cause some cracking of skulls down on Earth and taken steps to ensure such folly would not actually take place.

Apparently, the one true god either didn't anticipate (=> not omniscient), couldn't take steps (=> not omnipotent) or didn't give a rat's furry hindside (=> not all good).
Maybe I'm not smarter and nicer myself, but it's entirely too easy to imagine a being that logically cannot help but be at least one of them.

Atheism defined: lack of belief in God or active disbelief in God.

If the atheists that have responded know this definition, why do they say there is not a God when by definition, they are stating that they don't believe in God. Sounds confusing and 'educated' to me.

Satan hates God and Satan hates people, believers or not. Satan wants everybody to go to hell. God wants everybody to go to heaven. Turn against God and suffer nothing more than eternal damnation. Turn against Satan and suffer eternally right now and after death. By the way, that eternal damnation comes complete with every memory of good and every Christian that told you to repent. No one will be laughing because Christians do not want any to perish, just like God. Non-believers are the mockers and scoffers.

Greetings,
Well i do not know about that, why they try to be smarter than God, And one more thing there is no one nicer than God.
For if anyone are trying to be smarter or thinking that they could escape the wrath of God.Then they are surely doomed.Surely there will be somebody out there, who will want to know the truth.
The Truth is: John 3:16
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

Peace Be With you.

A fool has said In his heart, there Is no God. I pray that God removes the scales from their eyes. Bringing them to the truth and saving grace of Jesus Christ..Fear not what man can do to you,as he can only kill the body. But fear the One that can destroy both Body & Soul. It Is a fearfull thing to be put Into the hands of a living God.

I don't think anyone is trying to "stump God". Atheists know that there is no God, hence, trying to "stump" him would make about as much sense as trying to stump the tooth fairy.

Believers would not wish to stump God.

Rather, what you are seeing is non-believers taking advantage of ill-equipped believers. There are many ignorant believers; those who think themselves intelligent or learned, who non-believers find entertaining. It is a form of entertainment. Some believers are good for a laugh, especially when they offer up what they believe is "good scientific reasoning".

People are ignorant and more concerned with what they think instead of what they know. Let them doubt God they only judge themselves. People shouldn't be wise in their own opinion.

I guess my question is that, if God *can* answer these questions, why doesn't She? I mean, I believe in God, but She can be mighty closed-mouthed about stuff that humans are unsure of. If God could just tell us what the basic building blocks of matter are, it would save us a lot of time and money, for instance. Do you have any idea how expensive CERN and Fermilab are to run? C'mon, God... give us the answers, already!

We don't think we can stump God. We just think we can stump the biblical description and the dogma surrounding God (I assume your referring to the Judeo-Christian God).

But your question says it all. Anything contrary to dogma is frequently taken as an attack on God, when in actuality, it's an comment on the human interpretation of him. And lacking anything BUT human interpretation to define God (and poor interpretation at that), many choose to seek more substantial proof before believing.
