Yes!... I know...its an absurd Question !...
But my point is: Muslims are obviously non believers (Atheists)
in relation to the Cristian God..... Christians are also (Atheists) as they are rejecting Alla as a true God.
Similarly most other believers put themselves on the same position When they are in opposition to other Gods.
My point is: believers should understand more clearly about atheistic positions, being themselves at least parcially Atheists?

Wow! So many answers but so little substance!... Most of you really missed the point of my question!
Even, if in theory believer worship the same god... They do take an atheistic like position on each others believes.
I have been an Atheist all my life!
I am 64 years old I dont need a lecture on atheism from some of you!

Well, technically, an atheist is one who doesn't believe in the existence of ANY gods. But it's clearly not a big deal to Christians that they don't believe in others' gods, so it can't be a big deal that non-Christians don't believe in theirs.
And, for the record, it's NOT TRUE that atheists believe in nothing, as someone said up there. Atheism refers ONLY to lack of belief in gods. Anything else fits under a different category. Atheists believe in lots of other things.

No offense but I don't think you have a clue as to what the term Atheist means. Atheism is a philosophical viewpoint that denies the existence of God in any form due to lack of any evidence. Therefore you can say they have no faith and are godless.
What you are describing is Heresy, a theological or religious opinion or doctrine maintained in opposition, or held to be contrary another religion.
So I think you need to understand what you are trying to say before you formulate a hypothesis and then try and to make a point of it.
Good luck with seeking knowledge.

I'm a Christian. I understand that atheists believe there is no God. Not hard to comprehend. What is difficult to wrap my mind around is why they care if anyone else does. If I truly thought there was no God, then although I would be interested in why people do, I would not care. I think the sad thing is that atheists, who claim to be open minded, will not even admit to the possibility.

The answer to your question is NO because atheism is the belief that there is NO GOD WHATSOEVER. Muslims and Christians both believe in God. So by the very nature of them being monotheistically religious they cannot be atheists.

Hmm
What is an Atheist by ur Definition?
God is One
Only one creator created everything
We only gave him names
Muslims call him Allah & christians God
The only difference is in the preachings
Moreover, Chrristianity & Islam are similar religions
Infact Islam Claims to be the succesor to christianity
The point is that opinion differs in terms of beleif in preeachings, not GOD

You mean prophets? Both believe in the same god, but they have different views about the real prophet of God. In my opinion, Christianity and Muslim beliefs are far-fetched, but some points are true. Religions should not force their beliefs upon another religion, but religions should come together and see each others differences and discuss their beliefs. Christians and Muslims are so close-minded.
Interesting question.

No. Youou bring up an interesting point, but an atheist does not believe in ANY god. While the Christians might not believe in Allah and the Muslims don't believe in the Christian God, they still believe in a god.

Id ont think you can called anyone who believes in a god an atheist regardless of what other gods they lack belief in.
I also don't think believers will ever understand the atheist position because generally they are convinced that their god really really does exist. So that other gods don't exist is kind of irrelevant because theirs actually does.

No i dont believe they are because Allah and God are the same to both religions, but the thing they do not agree on are the religions. Muslim dont believe in Jesus as the son of God, they think of him as a prophet only and there are a few others that differ. but they do believe in the same god.
