Okay, I'm moving from Seattle to Orlando in January and need a new career... I could be considered a good "office manager/receptionist/secretary" but was thinking of getting into the medical billing/coding... if anyone is doing that now -do you like it? -does it pay well? -would you continue doing it for the next 10 years, or is it more of a 5 year career?

I have gone to a university but it was only for 1 year... was thinking of going back a community college then possibly to UCF when I can afford to do so... but in the mean time I really don't want to get involved with retail/grocery/food or even seasonal positions... for the past 3 yrs i've been in a high end $40K/YR salary and im in my early twenties... what are some other good careers that are good for ppl with "some college" who enjoy the desk-type jobs?? again, i dont want something that will be a part-time dead end career.... just looking for input!

I have the same problem. I had to change fields and am starting from the bottom again. I am thinking a legal secretary/paralegal. So far that is the best I have seen.

For the medical billing/coding type jobs, you need a degree. I only know because there's a school in the building where I work.
