At the moment I'm leaning towards getting a Kenwood Major model KM020. It was only released in Spring 07 and so reviews are hard to find. I'd be pleased to hear from anyone who has experience of Kenwood mixers (or 'kitchen machines') or who's in a position to compare those with Kitchenaids. Which is best and why - and how do Kenwoods perform? Thanks.

I love my kenwood - brilliant machine with every conceivable add on going! Mother in law has had Kenwoods for years and years - she made cakes professionally. She always rated them too.

Don't know about Kitchenaid but I have had my Kenwood Chef for over 30 years and it is excellent. I use the K Beater, Whisk and Dough Hook

KitchenAids rule. Tough, durable, easy to clean, take no prisoners and will do the job in seconds without complaining. Kenwoods in my experience have been wimpy and flimsy and break down at the slightest hint of chewiness.

Kenwood everytime, we use an A701 model at work, and we known it to be, at least, 20 years old if no more. For a mixer that's only suppose to be for domestic use not too bad, don't you think?
