Think logically. One police officer out of a very large amount is a rather small statistic. You could play the guessing game all day, like a postal employee shots up a post office, how do I know that a postal employee will not kill others, a restaurant cook killed a customer, how do I know all will not..................

Why stop with cops? Whites, Blacks, Men, Women, Catholics, Methodists, Moms, Dads, Jews, etc. Come on. If one of your buds goes out and is stupid, are you going to be. Better yet, should we compare your buddies to YOU. Hopefully not. Try to keep an open mind. Remember this question when you need them, and you will eventually. Everyone criticize them when they mess up, just like every other generalizing. Until they need something from them.

You don't no if other cops will do this to but you just need to trust that you will get a dependable one.Don't make this stop you from realizing that cops are real people and they have the choice to be respectable or like this cruel man.

One nut case doesn't make all police nut cases. You do not, of course, have any iron clad guarantee, but this particular event isn't exactly a common occurrance.

Same reason you don't know if someone at school, work, or even in your house won't. You cannot generalize all officers based on one incident.

Then you had better avoid high school and college students, postal workers, warehouse workers, office workers, church goers, and racists as well. They go on shooting rampages with much greater frequency than off duty cops do.

Just because one officer was crazy doesn't mean you can judge all of them. I for one completely trust police officers and count on them for protection. They happen to be very brave, dedicated and good people.

For the same reason that if one U.S. soldier kills innocents civilians in Iraq, it doesn't mean all U.S. soldiers in Iraq are murderers------like some of our senators would like us to believe.
