I have been studying this since the 1970's, first as an anthropologist and then as a chemical engineer which is about 11 years of college and about 35 years of work. This has happened before. The absence of Homo Sapeins remains north of the line drqwn across the globe at the latitude of the top of the Tigris-Euphrates Rivers Valley confused everyone and the available data lead people to speculate that some kind of Ice Age or big freeze killed off those north of that line. At that time we also thought that Europe was covered with forests. But a grad student from Australia, I don't know his name, proved that it was actually covered with grass land. Which partly anwered that question but not yours.
Quite simply, the end of global warming is global cooling if we are to survive at all. All natural systems seek equilibrium and to get there the usually, always over shot the mark and go back the other way. This ocsillation can be seen in some thing as common as the daily temperature, or as complicate as the IQ of school children in the United States. Sometimes this variation falls in and is masked by the margin of error, but some times it is large enough to be visible.
In the case of global warming as you saw in the movie "The Day After" I believe it was called, which was actually based upon a science book, the problem come from the fact that hot air rises and that not very far above your head is some very cold air. There are still places on earth where the snow never comes close to melting, so that cold isn't very far away. Now think about how High and Low pressure systems work. Is there a way that one could become strong enough to pull what is called the Tropapause, the barrier between life and cold close enough to the ground to freeze a major portion of the earth. If it can, it can only do so with a great amount of energy. And global warming is all about putting more energy into the atmosphere and keeping it there longer.

I happened to run across some very, very, very old newspaper cuttings. The name of the papers appears something like Dynosar Times. The paper is in tatters and some of the portions is lost, eaten away by worms .That eventhis piece has survived over 65 lac years is itself a miracle. What I can make from it is that it is a serious warning to all the dynosaurs to bring more warmth as their cold-blodded ness was causing global cooling. And there was news that the north and south poles have alrelady been covered with thick blocs of ice destroying last trace of life there.
So it was global cooling then and now it is global warming and the successors to the dynosaurs declared the approaching doom.Doyou honestlythink that we can reduce the carbonisation. In fact all our atomic bombs were to accidently go offf the heat generated would not be enough to warm even a corner of a volcano. These are climatic cycles and bound to come and go.We may also have the same fate as of our illustrious predecessors though it is quite possible some of us would be saved by migrating to the moon,Mars or farher still and start civilisation anews. They will write treatises about our foolishness of not stopping global warming and get destroyed as a consequence.
So just do notr worry and do not fall a prey to propoganda.Do not blame the advanced nations for making the situation worst. We have set of on a journey from which there is no turning back.

Due to global warming the climate all over the world has started to change. It has affected many parts of the world, like the range of the deserts is slowly increasing, in many areas floods occur, the number of hurricanes and their magnitude has increased. Many species of animals are being threatened by extinction.
Gradually the ice caps on both the poles will melt this will increase the amount of water in all the water bodies. Due to that the coastal part of the continents will be submerged under water.
Many environmentalists believe that there may even be a big freeze. According to them, in the oceans there are hot and cold water currents flowing around the world, known as the great ocean conveyor belt , these currents help in maintaining the climate of earth. In the oceans as the hot water is lighter than cold it rises above the cold water.
If the cold fresh water from the melting ice cap mixes with ocean water, as it is lighter than the salty water of the ocean
it will be at the top, this won't allow the hot water to rise up , as
a result the conveyor belt will stop. due to that there Will be a climate change resulting in a tremendous fall in temperature

The present condition of the earth is that it is getting hotter and hotter year by year and after many years(i'm talking about nearly 100 or 150 years) the situation may be that the earth will get enough warm to melt the ice bergs present on the surface of the earth which will cause the increase in the water level and hence the remaining land part of earth will be covered by water. Now the reason after which the earth is getting warmer is the disturbance created in the atmosphere due to the pollution created my mankind and thus the ultraviolet rays which are harmful to mankind enters the surface of the earth.

Nothing much. Certainly nothing that hasn't happened before. For example there was no ice at all at either pole in the time of the Dinosaurs, and sea levels then were more than 200 feet higher than today. Nobody is predicting such a dramatic effect from the present global warming. The predictions are more like 1 or 2 feet sea level rise in 100 years.

Scientists said by 2020 most of the cities will be under water if the global warming continues like this. Maybe by 2030 most terrestrial beings will perish. But in due time the nature will recreate its wonder and again terrestrial beings will be on earth. Maybe not human but some other being. We are going to have the same fate as Dinosaurs.

Hey!
I think you have received a lot of answers for what will be the effects eventually so I 'd like to point out a few things that you can do to help the earth from these effects..
Use paper bgs instead of plastic covers even recyclable plastic covers should be avoided next time u go to a shop take ur own home made paper bag.Be an example to people so people will follow you..
Dont use bulbs
Turn off your TV,Computer all electric appliances when not in use.Turn off the TV from stand by mode even just turn the switch off when not in use.
Save water,Save electricity,Segregate dry and wet garbage put them in seperate bags and dispose waste properly..
Make your own contribution and show people with your actions that we need to start working to bring our mother earth to normal and save her from the harsh effects of global warming..
Make a start People will follow..
P.S. I didnt answer your question in the way you wanted me to but i hope whoever wrote answers to this question or whoever reads this answer in future understands that we all need to wake up and do something for our earth so that our future generations will have a safe haven to live in..
I answered this question only so that people will read this and take a step ahead in making a contribution to make the Earth a better place to live in..
Peace :)

If we assume that global warming is going to remain unchecked for another 200 years, then the eventually the effects its gonna have on earth and us would be;
1) Sea levels willl rise to the extent that coastal areas will be submerged. Hence a lot of people living near coatal areas will have to move in.
2) Average Temperatures in most places around the globe will be higher and so people will shift to cooler places which are at preesent very cold. For example some areas of greenland, siberia, north canada might become warmer than they currently are, and people will choose to live there.
3) Other climatic changes that global warming may cause are still not clear. But it is assumed that global warming may damage the ozone layer which in-turn may cause heat realted diseases. The occurrences of skin cancer may increase.
But, in my opinion our scientific and technological advancement may enable us to check global warming before it become catastrophic.

There are a number of theories. Most of them have been put down by many members on this page itself. Still I won't be any grand disaster where people will get chances to become heroes and save the world.
1. We have melted polar ice caps and a rise in sea level, submerging many coastal cities and islands. There already are islands getting submerged partially due to global warming in the Indian ocean. cant remember which off-hand but it was in the news.
2. Some scientists claim it will be like a closed loop reaction. Global warming leading to disturbance in ocean currents, water balance, which will subsequently lead to further climate change ad infinitum
Mostly the blow will come from the risen sea levels. The costs of surviving it will be great, and only the wealthier nations will be able to afford it. the poorer nations will have to depend heavily on foreign aid.
but the irony is that most of the rich nations will lose their most of their land. Canada is mostly frozen ice, USA will lose its coasts and california. North europe consists of low lying lands, which may get submerged. Japan is a nation of islands, so is australia and newzealand. Also the arab countries will lose a lot of land. these countries will have to turn to the poorer countries which will lose lesser amounts of land, such as landlocked countries of europe, central africa and south america.
we are already seeing the effects in the form of heavy unwarranted rains and floods where there used to none. A deluge is coming.

None of us would survive till the time global warming starts having its actual effects. But it is for sure that icecaps covering the arctic, antarctic and the mountains would start melting heavily leading to the rise of water levels in not only the oceans and seas but also the rivers and its tributaries which would ultimately lead to vast scale floods all over the world and its subsequent damage to humankind on a large scale.
Just on the lighter side you can watch the movie Ice Age for getting some preliminary ideas........
