I'm just not sure how these their flavors mix. It seems that they are both made from peppers. Cayenne having heat and Paprika being sweet.

You can use both, and any other spices that YOU like as well.

I love using both spices whenever I make fajitas or any type of spicy dish. Both balance out the taste of a meal. Because regular paprika is a little sweet I use smoked sweet paprika. It brings a whole new level to the taste of your dish. I love it! I even use it as a dry rub on my steaks!

there are various grades of paprika, sweet thru hot. cayenne is always hot. commercial paprika type peppers are the best from spain & hungary... hot pepper will always cancel out sweet pepper when both are used....

you can easily use both peppers in mexican cuisine, as well as other types.... poblano, jalapeno, etc.....

Sure, I don't think paprika has much taste and cayenne is too hot. So they would balance out.

You are right. You can use them with no problems. You should experiment with them and come up with your own taste. I use them when I make Chicken Mole.
Be creative and you will discover a new window in the world of spices!

Sounds good to me. Heat and sweet usually compliment eachother pretty well.
