One. It goes by weight not distance. If you are not sure, bring it too the post office, they can weigh it and tell you.

If it's a regular envelope, one 41 cent stamp will do the job.
Los Angeles to San Diego, or LA to New York City, they all cost the same.

It all depends on the weight and size of the envelope. If it's a regular #10 envelope weighing up to one ounce, then it costs 41 cents. Up to two ounces - 58 cents. Other than that, call the post office for the rate.

Distance doesn't make a difference. It is the weight and size that makes a difference. A simple letter only requires a 39 cent stamp, just like all other letters.

If you are sending the DVD back in a regular envelope, you will need to take it to the post office to be weighed for the correct postage. If you are that worried about it, why don't you call Netflix and have them send you another envelope?

It depends on the weight of the letter. If it is a normal light letter it will cost 39 cents to mail it. It isn't the distance.

That would be one, assuming it's a regular stamp with the correct postage.

It's not the distance that matters its the weight of the letter. Bigger ones cost more than smaller ones.
