I hooked up my PS3 to an HDTV w/hdmi and it was nice, now i dont have the hdtv and I'm back to the regular picture. Well i need to reset my ps3 to play on the regular video selection but i cant figure it out

Firstly, make sure you don't have a disc inserted in your PS3. Go to SETTINGS
then DISPLAY SETTINGS press X
you should be able to set it this way. Hope that helps.

If you unplug the cable while the ps3 is powered off not just shut down, power it down by turning it off in the back of the machine, and unplug the video cable, then plug the cable back in and turn it back on, it should reset to the default video settings.
Power up the machine, turn it on, and you should be able to get into the video settings of the PS3 from there.

Hold power button for couple of seconds until it beeps - reset is done.
