All the new visual crap they put on Vista and Office 2007 is really just waste of computing power, users simply wants to get their work done, and fast.

I am not particularly fond of the "ribbon" either. However, I think the main reason for this is that I am used to the previous format that Microsoft and others have been using for over a decade. I might warm up to it if I gave it some effort, but Office 2003 and OpenOffice for my Ubuntu machine does everything I need so I am not upgrading any time soon.

It's not all that great. Microsoft has it's ups and downs. Office 2007 is a big down for many of the reasons that people have already stated before me.

It takes a bit of getting used to because some things are hidden under tabs and such but otherwise its good. Except when you email a document to someone without 2007, they can't read it then you have to save it as a '98 - 2003 document, gets pretty annoying.
