No, there are only about 4 million with some characteristics of dementia. That includes younger people. As the baby boomers get older it will be a bigger problem, as there is no cure. The percentage rate vary from site to site, but I would guess about 75%. There are medications that help retard the rate of memory loss like Aricept and Namenda, but are cost prohibitive as there aren't generic and our Medicare system sucks. No. The statistics say about 40% of persons 75 and older will develop one of several types of dementia (Alzheimer's, multi-infarct, Pick's Disease, etc., to mention a few)..

There are people above 70. There are dements. One group has nothing to do with other.

No. only very small % have it. Many 90 year olds do not have it.

No not all but some what % I would not know.
