I believe in God. I don't expect everyone to.

My own beliefs about God differ from those of other Christians.

Then there are other religions entirely.

What you believe or don't believe is your own business- why do people put so much effort into trying to prove each other wrong? I ask this of people on all sides of this big debate- as a Christian and wife of an atheist.

And before you start- I know as Christians, it's supposed to be our "duty" to spread the word of God and "save" people- but face it- nobody's getting saved unless they want to be- so why make ourselves look crazy by trying to force it? You catch more flies with honey..

Honey is being kind to one another.

I'm sorry you have such a distrust of all Christians. I hope you can get over it. If not, I hope something else will make you happy.

I don't care. I really don't care.
This is a free country, and everyone has the right to live a life he can proudly call his own.

I totally agree. We spend so much effort beating people over the head with our bible that we don't notice they are running the opposite direction. God called us to love and be a witness. His Spirit does the saving anyway and we are doing a pitiful job of loving those that don't believe the same as us.

I am also married to an unbeliever and the harder I push, the more he backs off. Ever wonder why all the unchurched loved Jesus so much?

I agree with you. There are a few people here who ask a dozen questions a day that are essentially attacks on those whose beliefs are different from theirs.
What others believe seems to matter an awful lot to them.

I agree with your premise. I do not preach to anyone or try to convert anyone. There is no point in doing so.

There is also no point in atheists trying to tell us how stupid we are or how our beliefs are, in their opinion, false.

Thanks!

God gave us all a gift; the gift of freedom to choose; how we spend that gift is a choice. People exercise that freedom everyday.

I care as long as it continues to be amusing. When it gets boring, I move on.
