They are right next to the house and you can't walk out on the deck or approach the house without spelling the stench. I have 5 kittens that are now about 5 months old, I have chased them out and picked them up and relocated them when I catch them in there. And a more mature cat I took in who was starving won't even cover it up, just an exposed pile. Disgusting. Is there something I can pour or spray on the areas I don't want them in? Cats I've had in the past have always gone to the further edge of the property.

My kittens were going in my houseplants and killing them, i got the tip from family that orange peels work to keep them away, they dont like the smell of it.

I put some in my plants, and they didnt touch it again. I know it will probably take alot of peels LOL, but maybe you could try grating the peelings up and soaking them in water, then spray the beds with the water, or spread them around after grating/ cutting them up into small pieces.

If that doesnt work, you can spray vinegar, they dont like the smell of that either...and if neither of those work, you can buy a small sprinkler on a timer and have it go of at random times throughout the day, if they are in it, they will get sprayed and it will deter them, and it will keep the beds wet, and cats dont like wet "litter boxes" so they will go elsewhere :D

Hope that helps some...

Some old nylon stockings, a box of mothballs, and some string. Put 4 or 5 mothballs into a piece of nylon stocking and hang them around your garden. Cats hate the smell of these and stay away. You can replace the mothballs easily when rain eventually melts them completely.

There are several approaches, and I have provided a link to two. There are also chemicals that you can put on the ground that may deter them. The links to the site I provided have other approaches, including chemicals.

I would tend to favor the barrier approach, since the scent is already there, and they would tend to return to those areas.

They sell cat repellent at pet stores..IT really works...I had a cat that was peeing in my garage...worked like a dream! But since it's outside you will probably have to re-spray any time it rains. :)
