Thus we cannot say that God exists or doesn't exist until we die and see him/don't see him. So long as the wave function is not collapsed then God is neither in a state of existence nor non existence.
I'm no expert in quantum physics and hope that I have the basis of a reasonable theoretical question and I hope it is technical enough to keep the Fundamentalists away.
Agnostic!

Bill Mac, if nothing existed prior to God then sound could not have travelled and thus we could not have been created by his voice. Sound needs a medium to travel in. If you are going to dabble in the realms of science to prove God please get the fundamentals right. Thus God did not "speak" us into existence. No medium, no sound, no vibrations and no strings!!!!

Noah, your understanding of observation is extremely limited. Observation is not performed only by the eyes. We can measure the content of air - nitrogen, oxygen etc.

Shroedinger's God. Very nicely played. I don't know if I'd expect God to behave in the same way as subatomic particles. Nor would I expect him to be the dice thrown, to use Einstein against his will. Wave-particle duality couldn't possibly extend to something ethereal, can it? I mean, besides the two branes that crashed into eachother via quantum leap which caused the big bang.

I'm not a fan of the "spiritual interpretation" of quantum mechanics. Most classical interpretations say that wave function collapse occurs through interaction with other particles.
Since all cases of measurement and observation are cases in which particles interact, this interpretation has the same explanatory power as the spiritual interpretation, without the messy need for "consciousness."
And it seems to me that God's particles (if God exists spatio-temporally) would need to have interacted with other particles as a result of creating the universe, so God's wave function ought to have collapsed to an eigenvalue.
EDIT: God can't actually exist and not exist at the same time. He can be both alive and dead, or violate the law of the excluded middle in some other way. Existence, however, cannot be in a state of superposition.

If God introduced with regard to the singularity and instant enormous-Bang that brought about each and all of the situation in our universe to commence increasing at an staggering cost, then decelerate some and coagulate into stars and planets, with gravitation pulls of accumulated rely which brought about all of it to take the form of the (nonetheless increasing universe) all of us comprehend immediately, then God created that singularity. by some potential that singularity and ensuing rely had to ensue, and its clarification for happening would nicely be attributed to God, while you're taking that quantum and ensuing astrophysical singularity because of the fact the definition of God. evaluate closer to domicile than the creation of the universe, and shall we examine out planet Earth which nurtures this obvious 'miracle' we call existence, or maybe Darwinians all agree that existence could have all started someplace interior the oceans and at an particularly primitive point of micro-organisms. yet this is the place the chain of existence spark off, arguably as spontaneously because of the fact the enormous-Bang, and you additionally can take that as a component the place technology facilitates God's existence, because of the fact the initiator of the 1st links interior the chain of existence. If those 2 arguments, the quantum/astro and the organic and organic teach that I certainly have, on the least, a suspended disbelief in God, then i assume i'm an agnostic too. Bit i don't somewhat believe interior the interference of a few sentient being (and that i think of that's what's somewhat advise while people use the be conscious 'God'), so it is extra useful to assert i'm an atheist.

Quantum mechanics only works when dealing with objects at the atomic level or smaller.
Your queston presumes that God is:
A) an object.
and
B) atomic (or smaller) in size.
Galaxies don't require observation to exist. The outer planets were exerting their gravitational influence on the Earth long before anybody knew they were there. God can exist in a quantum universe.
And who ever said quantum mechanics was ever going to be the final, last word? It might be demonstrated as wrong tomorrow. Thats how science works...

Quantum physics has come up with the "String Theory". It postulates that all matter, everything that exists, consists of "strings" of vibrating energy. That the arrangement of these strings produces the various forms and types of all matter. The creation account describes God as "speaking" everything into existence. Sound being a vibrating energy... what conclusion would you derive?
Science and religion have always been man's attempts to explain and understand the things of God.

Your first presuppostion is flawed. God is super-natural, or existing above the physical observable universe. We can not observe Him with our physical senses unless He so chooses. He is not subject to time or physical existence or physical laws as we see them. Quantum physics can not answer the question you are asking. QP can only answer questions of our physical existence in this universe and then only if the original presupposition is correct and proven.

No. while the observation does change the event, it is still observable and predictable. Also the uncertainty is not on exist or not exist but on where or how fast the particle is moving.
I suppose you could extend this to god, but there is no indication that this would apply.

It's only when you let the cat out of the bag, that you know what state it's in....

Until then you're guessing with EITHER answer!
"God spoke" could be mistranslation. Maybe decreed is a better way of putting it? You can decree things by thought, not just just by using the voice. OK you still need a medium for thought to exist in ....

I guess so, you could call it "Schrödingers God Theory".
However, so long as *someone* has observed a "live" god, it could be argued that god exists. And there's no shortage of people who claim to have seen god.
You really expect this to keep the fundamentalists (or other idiots) away? I doubt it!

unless god is said observer
Besides that would imply god is on the same level of existance we are....
if there is a god .... god would exist on a much higher level of reality beyond quantum indetermacy... probly in a 10/11 dementional state of exsistance
