Along the east coast cruises depart from New York, Philly, Baltimore, Norfolk, Charleston, Jacksonville, Port Canaveral, and Miami (including Ft. Lauderdale).

Some, like Philly and Charleston are seasonal. Also not all ports have ships that go to the Caribbean. A typical cruise ship travels at around 25 miles per hour. So a ship leaving from Norfolk will have to travel a 32 hours to make it to Miami while a car could make it in half that time (and a plane in two hours). So most cruises from the middle and northern east coast go to either the Bahamas, Bermuda and Canada (during the summer).

Still, you have options (these are just examples) ...

I do not know if you know it already but you can get great cruises right from the port in Norfolk, Va. Carnival Cruise line and Royal Caribbean Cruise lines both do a variety of cruises from there. You can go to the web site for the PORT OF NORFOLK and see what they have: http://www.cruisenorfolk.org/

I have been on many cruise and I highly recommend Royal Caribbean Cruise line. You can take a cruise to the Caribbean from Norfolk on a number of nights next year. There is a link on the sight which shows the cruise calendar. I suggest the 9 night Eastern Caribbean cruise on RC.

You can go to the RC web site: http://www.royalcaribbean.com/gohome.do

And look for cruises from Norfolk (just select Norfolk as the departure port), and also look at departures from Baltimore, Md, and/or Cape Liberty (NY City), NJ. There are a number of cruises listed departing for all of these locations. And for the most part the cruises fit within your budget. Here is the web link for the Cape Liberty cruise port: http://www.cruiseliberty.com/

You can book right on line if you want, including selecting your cabin and making your deposit. The deposit will be about $300 per person and you can make payments on line also in increments of $100, and then you must pay the balance (you can do this on line to) by the due date which will be about 90 days before the cruise.

The Norfolk cruise port has parking and the directions to it are shown on the port's web site.

I have booked many cruises on line and it pretty easy, Just book early as the prices do go up as the sail date nears. Early is right now for next year.

First of all... he's married! Separated or not, he is married. Please, please, please don't be one of THOSE women! Second post to a group of strangers rings of desperation. He didn't say he wanted to marry and raise a family with you he said he was interested in a friendship... so what are you so worked up about this? Third, you said that he said "you can't force it with persistence" maybe he isn't replying because you are doing EXACTLY that! Lastly... Despite the fact that he is married, despite the fact that he said friendship, despite the fact that he is busy and despite the fact that he has chosen not to respond to you, you are still here asking these questions instead of accepting the writing on the wall... Given all of that, do you really think it would be a good idea for him to develop any kind of relationship with you? Honestly?
