I've been dealing with this burning throbing pain for about a year now. I have had mri's,bone tests, one epidural injection plus some more tests done. My Local pain clicnic told me all the tests look fine so there for there is no pain.
I told the Doctor to tell the pain that!
Every morning begins like the one befor,no pain but after i am awake for an hour or so the pain begins all over again. My pain begins in my lower back then radiates down both budocks then down both of my legs and it's a burning tingling pain+my small finger on my left hand is numb all the time.
I either sit or lay around all day takeing about 1/2 dozen or so percription pills along with a Lididerm patch but the onley relief i get is from a Vikeaden pain pill.
Strange i can wax a car and do outher things that dont bother me as long as i am in a standing position i dont feel the pain.
When i sit down the pain is there with a vengence
I'm just wandering if anyone else has had this problem .
Thanx

Classic central herniation findings. Discal pressure is reduced by standing, leaning slighhtly forward or lying on back. MRI? Doesn't really matter though unless you are planning major surgery or lose bowel or bladder control. See a Chiropractor that has experience with decompression. Central herniations are no fun and will tyake committment. W/o care will almost certainly worsen.

You should check this Sciatica Natural Treatment

Normally, I would not answer a question like this as my expertise is generally in medication but I had severe sciatica while I was pregnant with my 3rd child (after having had twins) and I had sciatica so bad that I was finding it difficult to walk. I tried massage therapy and physical therapy and could not take medication
I went to the chiropractor and the pain was instantly relieved. My hips and lower back were out of alignment because I had carried twins the year before. On occasion a Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) can also work but they usually only work on one joint at a time - the chiropractor will do your whole back which works faster. Anyone who does not believe in chiropractors will tell you they are quacks - don't listen.
I don't necessarily believe that chiropractors can cure things like diabetes but they can definitely relieve some types of back pain especially if a pinched nerve is involved which is usually the cause of sciatica. Try a reputable chiropractor ASAP!

Some years ago I suffered with something similar. I had lower back pain that was so bad one night I couldn't walk. I just stood up and my back locked. I was off work for three weeks. The other symptoms were pain in the buttock and leg but on one side only (the left I think). I was diagnosed with a trapped nerve in my back or sciatica in other words.

I have a prolapsed disc that was picked up on a MRI, after kidneys stones, gynecological examinations and bladder infections were checked and ruled out. They then wanted to do exploratory surgery, but I said 'No' paid to have a MRI and hey presto. Like you I find standing and walking no problem, but sitting and lying flat in bed, impossible. Due to Arthritis they are not planning to remove the disc unless I loose my bladder and bowel function, therefore I am now on long term pain medication.

I would think a doctor could see this but I have very similar symptoms and its a pinched nerve. The sciatic nerve. A chiropractor might be helpful if it is.

I would also suspect your hips may be involved. I'd get a second opinion.

I have also heard many times not all back problems can be verified???

sounds like you have something wrong with your back, don't always believe the ones who read you your results. get a copy of your mri results. read it yourself, see if it has something called tarlov cysts on it. very painful condition, and dr,s and rad's will overlook it saying it does not cause pain. sounds like you have have something wrong in your sacral area. tarlov cysts can be there. i am a pro on tarlov cysts. they are nerve root cysts, i have 30 of them. contact me if you find you have it.

My guess would be a pinched nerve. See another doctor who can reevaluate you.
