I take it you're young, so I'll tell you what I did when I was young and had a 10k to run when I didn't train for it properly.

Went out Monday, ran 4 miles pretty hard. Tuesday I couldn't move so I took the day off. Wednesday I went out and ran 5 miles, 3 of them as hard as I could go, 2 easy ones. Took Thursday and Friday off to heal up from that and rest for the Saturday race. Even with only 2 days of training, I still managed to come in about 5 minutes behind the leaders.

Find another 6 mile run later down the road and start training now.

its too late for distance training

try doing a mile or so every night , just to keep the muscles in good shape

when it comes to running the 6 miles , dont start to quickly , you can always speed up near the end if you are feeling good

all the best

Run for a mile walk for a half mile run a mile walk half mile untill you don't have to walk as far but don't do this if you aren't running 6 miles.. So run for six miles and walk after a mile of running do this for 6 miles every day and you will gradually not have to walk as far but it helps me to know that i can do it. oh and have you accually tried running 6 miles? it is probably in your brain if not. GOOD LUCK!!
