You mean "Do girls sing better than boys?"
My answer is -there are songs that sound better sung by girls and songs better by boys. And songs best by a mixture.
As for their vocal chords, the girls may have a little advantage due to the fact that boys at a certain age will have voice changes.
I think it depends on the music. Some music will definitely sound best when sung by a group of girls, and some are best sung by a group of boys and the voice changes can make a song very endearing and great to listen to.

Neither girls or boys in general sing better than the other. Some people have naturally better voices male and female alike. And though not a pitch change in voices girls voices change too- in timbre and resonance, so they really don't have an advantage.
Historically speaking the male has dominated the music field by number of years, but much of that was due to the male dominant role in society. Now musicians can be great regardless of gender, as for comparing one voice to the other that's an apples and oranges question- some will prefer one, others the other, some will like both, and others couldn't care less;)

Had another thought today, when discussing the "power" of the voice it is my experience that a male voice can easily overpower the female voice- there is just more power behind it, but as for better, they're still equal!!

Your average highschool girl will usually sing better than the average highschool boy. This is primarily because boys only sing when drunk, whereas it is socially acceptable for a girl to show off her beautiful voice (whether it is or not is another matter). This leads the girls getting more practice than boys, and thus being better at it. Note, this is all in the average case. There are plenty of exception in both directions.
It is my opinion however, that a properly constituted male choir can beat the pants off any soprano.

Girls of course. They are grown in controlled atmosphere. Boys gather all the dust, pollution, Junk foods and water. Smoking, drinking and many bad habits kill the natural flexibility of male voices.
