Like PAUL, I know many christains that ignore he's teachings
For instance "WOMEN PREACHERS" and "GAY Christians"

Why?
Because he talks against both of them.
You can't take out parts and leave in some, just to fit you.

it says:
I commend to you Phoebe our sister who is a SERVANT of the church in Cenchrea, that you may receive her in the Lord in a manner worthy of the saints and assist......she has been a HELPER of many and of MYSELF!
WERE DOES IT SAY SHE LED A CHURCH?

People ignore the parts of the Bible that make them uncomfortable.

Interesting. So in one passage, Paul says he doesn't permit women to preach, while in another (Romans 16), he commends his "sister" Phoebe, who was a deaconess of the church in Cenchrea.

In 1 Timothy, he talks about Adam and Eve, but in other passages he says that in the Lord, men and women are equal. Hmm.

Is this a contradiction? I might have to have a more mature Christian explain this for me.

And by the way, I don't "ignore" any part of the Bible.

Edit: I went back to the original Greek, and the word used to describe Phoebe was διάκονος, or diakonos. Strong's Hebrew and Greek dictionary has the word diakonos defined as: an attendant, that is, (generally) a waiter (at table or in other menial duties); specifically a Christian teacher and pastor (technically a deacon or deaconess): - deacon, minister, servant.

Therefore, Phoebe was indeed a deaconess. Go to this site, it clarifies it very well, and even answered what I thought was a contradiction:

Some "Christians" pick and choose, thinking they can stay in good with God as long as they obey part of His Law and still live mostly they way they want. They forget about where He said "if you break one letter of the Law, you have broken them all".
With others, some believe that with the advent of Jesus, that "the Old Law has passed away" and no longer applies. The OT ban on gays also includes a ban on women cutting their hair and a few other practices that are common today for which people used to be stoned.
Still others will maintain that some of the bans applied just to certain people at a certain time....not to everyone for all time.
But most believers who think they are Heaven-bound probably are not. It is written that "narrow is the path (to Heaven) and few will be those that find it"......not the millions that think they have.

As Susan B. Anthony said, "I distrust those people who know so well what God wants them to do because I notice it always coincides with their own desires." That basically sums it up. People have their own beliefs and think that they are right to the conclusion of all others. To get others to accept their ideas, they justify them by selecting pieces of the Bible that suit their needs while dismissing opposing biblical passages. This technique has been used throughout history. For example, many Christians justified things as horrible as slavery by using Bible passages like Leviticus 25:44-46 and Genesis 9:20-27. Of course, doing so required ignoring all the stuff about kindness and helping others. However, that conveniently was ignored.
Basically, people use the Bible to justify their preexisting beliefs because biblical passages can provide substantial support to any claim.

Why not? This is exactly what early religious leaders did at and after the Council of Nicea ... accepting texts that supported their idea of God and burning those that didn't ... declaring anything else heresy. Christians that "cherry-pick" The Bible are just carrying on the tradition.

What happens in a church when all the women are smarter and more spiritual than the men? Do they sit back and allow themselves to be lorded over by the stupid ones just because they have a penis?

Greetings Friend,

I feel your frustration, but please understand that for one not everyone believes the way you do concerning the Bible (without error) and two we all interpret things according to our background i.e. upbringing, education, religion etc, etc.

The best that we can do is live our life unto God, love and forgive all. Let God figure out what needs to be done. Love and be an example.

sending love,

Exactly. They are deceiving.

They will get their rewards. This are not God's Children . Anyone can take the name Christian but only those that are His Children only will enter Heaven.

They think they can mock God. Hypocrites, they are.

We must rebuke them without mercy and show that they are wolfs in sheep clothing.
