I inadvertantly left my Cardinal, Quartz pocketwatch in the watchpocket of my denim jeans, when I did my laundry. When I took the wet clothes from the washer, I saw the watch at the bottom of the tub. It had stopped. I removed the back and placed the watch on the widow sill, in the sun, to dry. The next day it was running again.
Three days later my fine timepiece stopped once more, so I replaced the battery. Nothing happened. I laid it on my desk with the cover open, displaying it's face. I intended to take it in for repairs.
Four days later, I had still done nothing, but lo and behold, the watch had restarted.
It's a miracle, I tell you. Just as certainly as anything else could be a miracle, this was one.
My question is, have any of you ever witnessed a real miracle? Tell us about it.
A devout Atheist.

Umm, that's not a miracle lol, that's what happens when electronic pieces dry out. You could have gotten the same effect by wrapping the watch in foil and letting it sit in a warm oven for an hour.
Obviously, the watch didn't completely dry out, there was a drop or two in it so it stopped working. As soon as you again let it dry out, it worked. Not a miracle, sorry lol.
But yeah, I've witnessed a real one. My husband and I tried to have kids for 12 years ... we went to 8 doctors in 10 years, some supposedly the best in their field. They told me flat out I wasn't going to have kids. So I put it in God's hands, and two years later got pregnant. I've got 2 little miracles now :)

How about two miracles you can search for which were in the news in my home state (Washington State)?
In one, a man was being mauled by a bear, and the bear was killing him. He prayed, "God I don't want to die yet." Suddenly, the bear looked at something past the man's shoulder, and ran away.
In another, a woman was trapped in her car in a ravine for eight days...and lived. They've continually updated her status since then, and she's fine.
In the third, which I saw on youtube, a car was crushed beneath a semi. You literally could not see the car. When they first showed it, and said a car was under there, I was like, "NO WAY!" Not only did the driver survive, he walked away from it.
There are so many others. A lady at the church I was forced to attend as a teenager was diagnosed with a disease that would cause heart failure. The doctors gave her six months to live. She's still alive today, twelve years later.
The pastor's wife at the church I attended as a child (different church, different state) was healed of MS.
I witnessed a little boy get hit by a car hard enough that he flew over the car and landed several feet behind it. He walked away, without a scratch on his body. Literally.
I've witnessed marriages that were on the rocks suddenly become strong, when both the husband and wife became Christians.
And there are so many more.

Seeing a person transformed, recreated by something that resonates deeply within them, something that speaks to their mind and heart, is to me a far greater miracle than transmuting base metal into gold or other such stuff. That other stuff that smacks of magicians' , which I still love, legerdemain pales by comparison.
Otherwise, I wish I had one of those outrageous, jaw-dropping stories of coincidence with which to wow you. Does finding a 1000 NTD/about 60 USD wadded up and squashed far at the back under a set of plastic drawers on my back porch count? I still haven't figured out how it got there. If I hadn't been trying to clean up some kitty litter that got under there I would have never seen it.

Well since you mentioned watches. Let me tell you about the one my husband owned. He had a Timex, and lost it while hunting one year. He didnt realize it was missing till he was almost home. So next year he we back to the same place he hunted and raked back some leaves and found his watch. Put a new battery in it and run like new. He said he should have wrote Timex over that but never did.

I was out over the weekend and had one too many beers. In the morning I had this terrible headache.
I took something called 'paracetamol' and within 20 minutes God's power cured my headache! Lo! verily, the awsome miracle of God did shine upon me that day for Him to cure my headache.
I'm just waiting for these 'healers' ordained by God to help an amputee grow back a leg.

The conception and birth of my daughter. A miracle and a Blessing.
As an atheist, you will disagree, but on Sunday, all true believers witness simple bread and wine become for us Christs Body and Blood. In this I have no doubt.

I rented out CDs that I didn't exactly want to watch, and lo and behold, the CDs were scratched and my DVD player refused to play them.
