I believe no one will go to Hell because Hell is a story made up to scare people. I think the belief in Hell caused all of the corruption and violence of Christianity in the medieval ages.

Why should good people go to Hell because they don't believe in God. Atheists have morals to.

Hell is a creation to scare into adherence

Hell however can be a state of existence as Andymcj87 above stated, if you choose that.

"Some things are true, whether you believe in them or not" -- is posted at the head of the page at the spiritual chat room I host nightly. Following are truths learned since my wife transitioned Home almost six years ago, hence my quoting that posting. Recently we have had four un-invoked visits from the Elohim, and one from Ramsa. So, you see, it is a very special place, with very special people -- lightworkers, all. My name, Pamatu, is derived from my wife's maiden name -- but her name since she went Home has been Ariella Cariel. She is an angel of the Archangel Ariel line. There is a place called Heaven because that is where she lives now -- along with everyone who passes. Yes, everyone. There is no hell. If a soul hurts another soul during life, or commits a mortal crime or suicide, that soul remains at Level 1 until that soul sees the error of his/her ways and forgives himself and his victim(s). Then ascension can begin. Although living, I've been informed I was at the 5th Level/Dimension when my wife passed -- and I am not at the 8th. My wife entered at the 8th Level and has now ascended to the 14th. I have had long, very long, monthly readings with Ariella for almost six years now, on the 22nd of every month -- the date we met in May 1967. The readings average two to three hours each time -- and am usually prepared with three or four pages of questions for Ariella and whomever may accompany her to provide the answers. When Ariella first arrived Home, she worked with Louis Pasteur, Edgar Cayce, Albert Einstein and Thomas Aquinas in the development of cures for incurable diseases. Their solutions are transmitted telepathically to Earth in the hope that the "idea" will suddenly occur to someone here. As for there being a god...god is not anthropomorphic, not a persona, but a huge and powerful energy experienced by many. That energy is LOVE. Ariella has emphasized that to me a number of times. I am not a medium or psychic, but I do have some of the gifts attributed to such beings. Some things ARE true, even if you don't believe in them.

It's kind of hard NOT to believe in Hell when one considers the emphasis placed on it in the Bible. There are actually more Scriptural references made to Hell than to Heaven! I suppose God wanted to get it in our heads that the possibility of going to such a place was very much real or the story of the rich, young ruler and Lazarus wouldn't be in there!

Having morals is not the key to heaven. There is only one way and that is Jesus. Salvation is only through belief in Jesus and repentance of sin. This is clearly spelled out in the Bible. When one becomes a Christian we are expected to obey God's law and that is the basis for all morals. There are only two choices given receive Jesus and salvation or reject God and the consequence of eternity in hell. God gave us the choice we just have to believe in Jesus, accept Him as Lord of our lives and repent of our sins to be redeemed to fellowship with God the Father and have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

I will answer this obliquely with a quote (non-spoiling, probably a paraphrase since I don't have the book in front of me) from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. "So is all this happening in my head?" "Certainly it is; but that's no reason to believe that it isn't real." It is Harry talking to another character in a dreamlike sequence. I use it here to illustrate the point that just because Hell may be in one's mind, this is no reason to believe it doesn't exist. It may have no material manifestation, but it certainly exists and is different for everyone.

first do you believe in eternal life???? then is there a heaven??? if you believe both then why not hell... its like you accept light and not darkness... you accept that happiness exists and sadness does not!!!! by the way "no one is good" in everything....except God... and if we are judged for what we do we all should go to hell.. its like God is willing to help you and get you out of the punishment and if you accept it you can escape hell.... its not because you are good or bad but by His grace which you accept... His grace is available to all. You just need to accept.

Belieing on hell and heaven encorages people to do good deeds and stay away from bad behaviur in this life.

Those who believe that heaven is guaranteed for them regardless of their conduct in this life like Israelis and some groups of Christians, they do not hesitate to commit worse crimes. They will find themselves in hell and then will know how wrong they were in believing that heaven is reserved for them. But then no one will be able help them.

WHATEVER image the word "hell" brings to your mind, hell is generally thought of as a place of punishment for sin. Concerning sin and its effect, the Bible says: "Through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned." (Romans 5:12) The Scriptures also state: "The wages sin pays is death." (Romans 6:23) Since the punishment for sin is death, the fundamental question in determining the true nature of hell is: What happens to us when we die?Does life of some kind, in some form, continue after death? What is hell, and what kind of people go there? Is there any hope for those in hell? The Bible gives truthful and satisfying answers to these questions. What happens to the spirit when a person dies? Psalm 146:4 says: "His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground; in that day his thoughts do perish." When a person dies, his impersonal spirit does not go on existing in another realm as a spirit creature. It "returns to the true God who gave it."This means that any hope of future life for that person now rests entirely with God.Since the dead have no conscious existence, hell cannot be a fiery place of torment where the wicked suffer after death. What, then, is hell? Examining what happened to Jesus after he died helps to answer that question. The Bible writer Luke recounts: "Neither was [Jesus] forsaken in Hades [hell, King James Version] nor did his flesh see corruption."* (Acts 2:31) Where was the hell to which even Jesus went? The apostle Paul wrote: "I handed on to you . . . that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and that he was buried, yes, that he has been raised up the third day according to the Scriptures." (1 Corinthians 15:3, 4) So Jesus was in hell, the grave, but he was not abandoned there, for he was raised up, or resurrected.

It is True that there are those who have done evil in the name of Christianity, that does not mean they were Christian, Jesus said in Mat 7:21 ¶ Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Hell is one of those subjects that makes people uncomfortable. We hear stories of hell being a place of fire, demons, and endless torment. Throughout history many authors have written about it, Dante's Inferno for example. Western culture is very familiar with the concept. Even Hollywood has made it the subject of many movies. Whatever the context, whatever the belief, hell is definitely taught in the Bible. But even the doctrine of hell is not without its controversy. Some say it is only the grave with no consciousness. Others say it is a place of correction and punishment that is not eternal. Others say it is an endless agonizing punishment in fire. Whichever it is, hell is the total absence of the favor of God.

The teaching that there is an eternal hell in which hordes of mankind will suffer eternal punishment can be a difficult doctrine to accept. We hear so much about God's infinite love and how He desires that all men be saved (1 Tim. 2:4). However, those who develop their theologies based upon the "gentle" side of God do so with an incomplete picture. Not only is God loving (1 John 4:8-10), gracious (Exo. 33:19; 1 Pet. 2:3), and merciful (Exodus 34:6; Psalm 67:1; James 5:11), but He is also holy (Isaiah 6:3; Rev. 4:8), just ( Neh. 9:32-33; 2 Thess. 1:6), and hates sin (Psalm 5:5-6; Hab. 1:13). God punishes the sinner (Jer. 50:31; Ez. 44:12; Matt. 25:46; 2 Thess. 1:9; 2 Pet. 2:9; Heb. 10:29).
The Bible teaches that there is a fiery hell, a place that Jesus warned people about.

Atheist have morals too ?

The answer to this question is a definite, "Yes." Atheists are people who, whether they like it or not, have the law of God written on their hearts (Rom. 2:15). They are subject to the same laws of our country (and other countries) and they have a sense of right and wrong. They often work with people who are religious and have ethical standards as well as non-believers who are don't. So they are exposed to all sorts of moral behavior. In addition, they often form their own moral standards based on what suits them. Besides, robbery, lying, stealing, etc., can get you imprisoned, so it is practical and logical for an atheist to be ethical and work within the norms of social behavior. How ever you want to look at it, atheists, generally, are honest, hardworking people.

Nevertheless, some Christians raise the question, "What is to prevent an atheist from murdering and stealing? After all, they have no fear of God and no absolute moral code." The answer is simple: Atheists are capable of governing their own moral behavior and getting along in society the same as anyone else.

At the risk of labeling the atheist as self-centered, it does not serve the best interests of an atheist to murder and steal since it would not take long before he was imprisoned and/or killed for his actions. Basically, society will only put up with so much if it is to function smoothly. So, if an atheist wants to get along and have a nice life, murdering and stealing won't accomplish it. It makes sense for him to be honest, work hard, pay his bills, and get along with others. Basically, he has to adopt a set of ethics common to society in order to do that. Belief in God is not a requirement for ethical behavior or an enjoyable life.
