From a deceased child, I don't have a problem with that. In fact, thee's no realistic choice? Does the organ go 6 feet under or to someone who needs it? With the parents approval, of course.
From a living child, absolutely no way.

Well I think that would not be fair for him/her. Being a child means that he is not fully capable of reasoning out things and he sometimes, don't have a good sense of understanding. Persuading him/her to donate a organ is the same as fooling him/her. And even the child is in the verge of death or had already died, it would not be fair to get his/her organs with only his/her parent's consent. The one , not only for a child, where the organ will come from has the right to decide if he wants his/organs be donated :)

That's only my opinion.

I think this is a debatable question and can only be answered honestly when you are in the position to actually need it. The same as people who fight cloning and messing with genes cant give their opinion until they have a child which is so badly maimed by disease - could it have been avoided if we have adjusted a gene? - same with your question.

NO. An organ from a child is not mature enough to be donated. Please. dont take the risk. you might be happy with your new organ but a child maybe suffering from lacking one. be responsible.
