Yes and no. The resulting swelling and itching should subside within ten days so long as you don't scratch the site and open it to infection. If you scratch it and play with it then yes, it could still cause you discomfort.

Yes you can, especially if you are very allergic or the bites have become infected.
Its best you see your doctor and ask or a cream containing an antibiotic and steroid - in the UK 'Fucibet' cream is fantastic.

Yes - and the older you get, the longer it takes for the bites to finally clear up.
