There is no such bill.
There is a bill to improve the background checks that are required to purchase a firearm - but this bill actually improves the protections offered to people with PTSD.
Next time don't be an idiot and Read The Bill before you make inane comments on it.

Seeing as P.T.S.D. tends to be viewed as a mental stress disorder, then its only right that some type of a control exists.
Admittedly there is enough damage being done by ordinary people who have no recognizable stress symptoms. As can be seen by the latest tragedy which has just happened in the USA.
Its all very well harping on about the right to bear arms, but in all honesty there is need of some type of control, ex-military veterans probably would legally look to acquire civil versions of firearms that they got familiar with, while in military service, hence the greater potential to do more damage in the case of a shooting spree.
In Germany where I lived for 5 years you cannot obtain a gun license without first undergoing psycho-analytical evaluation.
Edit: Seems the truth hurts some people.

Thats just plain insulting to our veterans. Legislators are trying to take Virginia Tech and use mental illness as a basis for denying gun ownership to whoever they choose. It is one thing if a person is a dangerous psychopath but not everyone with emotional problems is dangerous. All this is going to do is prevent veterans from getting the care they need. But after my experiences at the VA that may well be their goal. They will do just about anything to keep veterans from using up their resources.

Ever is a long time when they just found out about the disorder.. I can see alot of hunters who were military bringing suit against the law, if it passes.
They don't even have a good way of detecting it.. A girl I know who's husband is a sgt in the military, who has never been in the military, was told she had it..lol
Wonder if this is a sleeping giant..??

Suits me ,I have enough already. They are, however, sorely mistaken if they think a veteran with PTSD cannot find a weapon. The sad part is, as a population, we are probably more careful with firearms and safety than the average American, and less likely to shoot someone in anger.

that's insane
they are trying to limit the guns / being available to the public.
let's face it / even though civilians can purchase them / most do not. further we do not know how to use them properly. we have never needed them / it's been peaceful thanks to our military before us
with the military away / they are the only ones that know how to use guns
the vets are the next biggest group that knows how to use them
the government does not want guns in any citizens hands / let alone in the hands of a citizen that knows how to use them.
