Definitely. A child is a human in its developing phase, and you must keep track of his development at all times. You don't want him/her to become a failure.

Of course.

Your child is the most, most, most important part of your life.

And if you do not put your child even before you, then I feel it absouletely wrong on your path to bring him or her into this world.

So, whether it is a mistake (of you bringing your child into this world) or not, you cannot do anything but pray that he (or she) grows up into a human being from whom the society can take exceptional examples' and start following them.

Get the idea out of your head that your child cannot be put before everyone else.

I guess it depends on how you're doing it. I have friends who put their kid before everyone. A more spoiled little brat who can do no wrong and who's potty doesn't smell I've never met.

However, if you put your child first with an emphasis on teaching them to be a productive adult that might be OK. As long as first doesn't mean they always get their way and can weasel out of just punishments.

Being someone who grew up being second to my mother's boyfriend's..there is no feeling worse than than a child feeling worthless and put aside because her happiness is more important than yours.
You can have a life, but your children should be the first thing you think about.
When children are growing up,everything their parents do affect them for their future.
I have 2 kids now, and i get really frustrated sometimes being stuck in the house, but i look at those kids and i think i am their life and it feels pretty good to be so important to someone and to be loved so much.
You sound like a good mum.
The world needs good mums.

do you have a husband? i think its not a rank coz love shouldnt be like that. try to be fair to both your partner and your child. but if its your child and people outside your family, yes, its okay to put your child always first before your work, and other people.

Depends on the situation. If you mean your wife or life partner, then no. You had a life before you had a child and you will have one after its on its own. If you mean your friends and social life, then you bet.

Its perfectly right. I always put my child before everything and anything. He is my priority in life. When he's older, i want him to see that.

Yes, unless you are married, then your spouse comes first and you both put the child first.
