In the United States Uranium is used in a great variety of ways. The obvious is nuclear reactors which are a clean source of energy. Yes it does make nuclear weapons. It is used in many many medical machines to track tumors and other diseases. Not in use yet is a nuclear powered automobile which should run forever with no emissions on one little bit of uranium.

There have been two nuclear power plant accidents. One at Three Mile Island Plant in Pennsylvania USA. One at Chernobyl in the Ukraine. So in terms of safety Uranium is one of the best power sources since 1942.

India has all the same things, including the nuclear weapons. Pakistan has the same.
France has the same.
Israel has the same.
We are not sure of Iran, North Korea, and a few others.

Many countries around the world have nuclear power plants without nuclear weapons. Eventually, as oil runs out more and more nuclear power plants will be made.

No I do not believe Uranium should be banned.

Sounds like a good idea to me because it would protect our troops and innocent civilians alike, but I dont know the military advantaged of using it. But even if their are some military advantages, the more important quesiton that should be asked is do the military advantages outwiegh the risks and damages to the health of military personal and civilians.
