Has recently been serviced. Isn't there something that needs to be reset?

If it has recently become high, despite no change in journeys, then get it serviced/checked over.

If it was always higher than you expected, learn how to drive more economically. Most of us could cut our fuel consumption by 20% with relative ease simply by driving more economically (which doesn't necessarily mean slowly).

fuel consuption relys on lots of things simple ones though good exhaust system ,ie no leaks good service ,ie new air filter good plugs ,clean oil and filter nothing to hard just keeping the car in good order engine wise should make all the differance failing the norm you will need to have the car dyno tested then the computer will tell you what is wrong but do the obviose first it is allways the cheaper option than paying the man with the pooooter to tell you to tell you that

alreet kid reet woz the fuel filtre , oil , air filtre changed? if ya car aint running right ie engine warning light (orange light) is on sounds like it could be the air flow sensor it should be coverd by waranty or if not get a one from a scrap yard for about 20 pounds the scrap yards will mark the air flow with paint so if that one doesnt work u can take it bk and they will change it for u

Get your control unit reprogrammed with the latest software from a Vx garage , if it is still the same get the same Vx garage to check the data on the ECU to make sure everything is within manufacturing specification ,

try pumping up your tyres this can destroy your fuel consumption if they are under pressure about 30psi on the front 29 on the rear but check this is so first at a tyre bay

Get it serviced.
Could do with oil chage,filter change,spark plugs etc....
