There are a few things you can try....Be sure that the dog has lots of fluid. I actually give the mom dog the formula and let her drink as much as she wants. Also, increase mom dogs calcium intake...give her yogurt (highest in calcium), icecream the high fat type, cottage cheese and I give her puppy formula also. I give her whatever she is willing to take in and offer to her every 2 - 3 hours. Sometimes..they need more rest and so let her leave the pups and get some good sleep...they are also exhausted from all of the nursing. Give mom lots of liquid..as much as she can take and be sure to give her lots of calcium and calories.

Additionally...be sure that mum doesn't have mastitis. Infection of her mammaries...the breasts should be soft and if squeezed produces milk. Sometimes mum could have also an infection that decreases her milk production. I am assuming that your vet checked these all out.

I would weigh the pups every day to be sure they are gaining weight. They usually gain between .5 to 1 oz every day. If they aren't you may be forced to bottle or tube feed them. Hope you won't have to do this.

Two weeks sounds early for her to be losing milk...the pups also need to be nursing a lot..as it will make her produce more milk as they continue to suckle. Good luck...hope it works.

you more than likely an't help her to produce more milk at this time.
It is best to let tehm nurse on her and then finish by filling them up with the bottle.
This does happen on occasion and again as your vet said help withthe bottle. This doesn't mean they can't continue to nurse from mom she can still do as much as possible. however do remember this is a 2 hour thing 24/7
and it's only for about another 2 weeks as they can begin being weaned then.

you dont have anything to worry about. the first crucial part of the babies life is off to a good start. meaning that they have fed off the mom for a couple weeks which ensures the babies recieve the"cholostrum" from the mothers milk. the cholostrum contains crucial antibodies that build the babies immune system and is highest in levels at first feedings. talk to your vet about feeding your babies "esbilac" milk replacer. i have used this myself on starving,at deaths door street rescues, as well as other cases. it will do wonders for the life stages of your puppies.

the vet knows what they are talking about.. if you just bottle feed them to top them up when mum cant feed fill them up. it is a good idea coz it takes a bit of stress off mum.. when people have babies and their milk drys up they bottle feed so it makes sense. they will be drinking out of a bowl soon neway.

it won't hurt them to be bottle fed.
they got the real important stuff in the beginning from the mommies milk.I wouldn'treally try anything to make the mom have milk, it could hurt the babies.

Take a egg mix it with a little can of milk and put a little sugar in it. That always worked for my animals when they have babies. (I live on a farm) This will NOT hurt the mother or babies.
