Hi, if you are trying to lose weight and counting calories, just include the beer in your calorie count for the day. No, it won't hurt you or your diet. But one thing I have found is that if you drink more than one and get drunk, you may throw your diet out the window for the day and eat anything. Just eat less than you normally would to account for the beer, if you can drink light beer, it's only about 100 calories or so. I have a friend who drinks a lot, she went from 160 to 118 and she drank all the time. She ate a low fat diet at the time. I count calories like you do, it's the easiest way to go these days. Good luck! Think moderation not deprivation!

No. A beer is about 110-150 calories.

It should hurt your weight loss program because of the alcohol content. Never mind the calories, the alcohol disrupts your liver function and the liver controls your body's regulatory functions and (without going into detail) some of these functions relate to weight loss.
