I just got a tattoo on the inside of my wrist on October 3rd, and it's been itching since yesterday, is this normal? I know it's normal to peel, but I don't know about this itching. I have tattoo goo that I have been putting on it, which helps a bit.

yes its going to itch, its healing. a tattoo is really nothing more than a controlled abrasion.
I have 11, they all itched

I would say that yes it is normal. If you cut yourself accidentally, the wound will often itch during the healing process. I would still contact your doctor if the itching is really bothering you. Perhaps he could prescribe a cream that would help. So long as the area is not oozing or infected, I wouldn't worry.

Yes. The itch is part of the healing process. A tatoo causes small cuts and abrasions of the skin. The itching is a good sign they are healing up properly.

yeah it will itch keep it coated with tattoo goo or something .
I have tats that are 15 years old and they still itch sometimes

Yes its normal but what ever you do don't scratch it because it will become infected then. Its just healing now thats why it itches

yes it is normal for a new tatto to itch. and please whatever you do don't cratch it; you will mess up the ink!! just keeping rubbing the tattoo goo on it and you'll be fine. :)

Yes, the itching drove me mad, I had to sleep with socks over my hands to stop me scratching!!

yes/ i have several tattoos. one just a couple weeks ago a bracelet round my wrist and its itching.its completely normal

yes its normal. tattoos are wounds. wounds itch when they heal.

The itch will eventually go away, unlike the tattoo, that will just turn into an ink blob with age, then children will point to it and say "What's That Grandma" ?
