well i heard that in chicago you don't have to have the front licence plate on if you don't want to becuase i seen some cars with out it and they don't get pulled over and i just want to make sure and my care looks fugly with the front licence plate on

I don't believe it's an option. I sure they could care less how your car looks.

The reason for issuing two plates is for easier identification. Both plates need to be displayed, one on the front and one on the rear. They don't care what your car looks like.

If they issue you two license plates, then yes I would think that you would have to have both. But if when you went to go get your plates they only gave you one, then you only need one

check with your local police, I know in Ohio you have to have bothe plates on your vehicle. Thats why they issue 2.
