i'm looking into cameras and would like one with the best aperture range. I know what it is with f stops and all, just don't understand the way they describe it. Thanks.

a- f8/f8 (w/t) - f2.8/f3.1 (w/t) Panasonic
b- f13.6 (w) - f3.5/f3.7 (w/t) Fuji
c- f8 (t) - f2.8/f3.7 (w/t) Sony
d- f2.7/f3.5 (w/t) Canon

Zoom lenses usually have 2 values that are the f-stops at the short end and at the long end of the zoom range. There is usually less of a range with shorter zooms than with longer ones. The best zoom would be one with a constant aperture from its shortest focal length to its longest.

Better how? If you want to smallest, go with B. If you want the biggest, go with D. If you want the widest range, it's still B. I'm guessing B is the longest lense, so it would have the highest manification.
