Eat it you will be fine, don’t go crazy and eat to porter house stakes, meat does take a long time to digest, so start with something moderate…

Well people have all sorts of crazy beliefs about the food we eat.

Basically humans evolved as scavengers, which meant we were like the vultures and hyhenas, eating other animals kill. So red meat was part of our normal diet, along with fruit and vegetables (but very little grains).

Anyway, one of the myths is that red meat sits in our stomach and rots (but that is so silly, because it is passed out like everything else, and is easily digested).

Now why are you craving red meat.

Simply put, most animals are capable of eating a nutritiuos diet and not getting fat. Humans are not so good at this, especially if they add lots of sugar and salt. However if we are lacking certain things our body start to crave them. Pregnant women have the strongest cravings.

You are craving red meat because you are missing certain things from your diet. Red meat, especially beef is a good source of protien, vitamins and minerals. Eaten in small amounts it is good for your diet.

So either have some red meat, so think of some other ways to get what you body needs, such as tofu and beans for protien or dietry supplements.

If you haven't eaten red meat for a while, I would take it slow. I'm a vegetarian and I can't eat even a little meat because my stomach won't break it up.

There are special enzymes in your stomach made to break down certain things. You might have a lower amount that breaks down proteins because you haven't eaten red meat, which is tough to break down.

Also, you can eat red meat IF you want a colonoscopy. If you don't know what that is, they pretty much put a tube up your butt and flush out your colon.

Red meat is SO hard for your body to digest that it actually sits in your colon and rots. Look it up online. Its no joke.

Enjoy your steaks!

Red meat is acutally an important part of your diet. I don't know how you have gone so long with out eating it. Have you been taking Iron suppliments?
I would def start eating it again if i were you. 2 - 3 times per week.
