To the Jews (my ethnicity), I am not Jewish and to the Christians, I am not Christian...
I float somewhere in between the two....It has no name, but the same God and same scripture...The Tenakh and Brit Hadashah...
I don't respect the rabbis enough to be considered officially Jewish and I don't follow the pagan practices of Christianity enough to be called Christian...

I will admit that the thought crosses my mind from time to time, that there is some sort of spiritual intelligence linked to our existence.
Yet even so, because there has been no evidence found to prove the existence of a god, I remain disbelieving but not completely discarding the possibility of anything, if proven otherwise. I certainly do not believe in the humanised gods found in religions.

I am not a part of an organized religion and know there is a God that over leaps the barriers of denominations.
I follow God daily as I read his Word and am strengthen by it.
It is my candle in a dark world. His Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my pathway.
I believe in acknowledging him and he will direct my paths..

I chose not to practice any type of organized religion. I believe in spirits and in karma. I do believe that what you do will come back to you - more like a wiccan type belief. I have a hard time believing in something that I cannot prove in any form or fashion. I have many questions as to why a wonderful "God", like we are taught, would allow so many of the things that happen to happen. Of course christians explain that away as a result of satan. I cannot fathom streets of gold or a fiery hell that will burn for eternity. I believe that your spirit lives on after you are gone, but not in a heaven or hell. It took many years for me to be open about my beliefs. I live in the bible belt, but I am learning that there are more and more people who believe like I do if you just talk to people. I do not bash anyone for their beliefs and I expect the same in return.

I'm open to the possibility of a collective unconscious or some sort of higher intelligence that we're all connected to or part of. But I've never heard a religious definition of it that doesn't sound laughably absurd. And I don't believe that it would be the creator of the universe but rather a product of it.

Absolutely! I was first a Baptist= confused.= My Dad's religion
Then a Catholic=further confusion.=Mom's religion
I asked God to lead me to truth. A friend of a friend appeared in my life, and asked me if I had ever read Edgar Cayce. (Never heard of him.) A renouned Spiritualist! I found a logical explanation to most of my questions that religion could never answer.
I then found more logical answers in Sylvia Brownes books then ANY I have ever read in the past 35 years.{ If you choose to read her works, start with her book: "Insights".}
She honors God and Jesus. The Jesus part makes no sense to me...
The Romans kept very acurate/detailed records. They have records of a Jesus' cruxifiction. Keep in mind that at that time, "Jesus" was as common of a name then, as "John" is to you and I today.
So, a man named Jesus was cruxified, which was who the early christians manipulators chose to create as a savior, that had to experience all the things the Pagans' God's did, in order to bait and trap the Pagans into converting. When they refused, they were killed, plain and simple.(Google the "Council of Niciea".)
Several Gods in Mythology prior to the birth of Jesus:
1.) Had birthdays celebrated on Dec. 25 {Adonis,Dionysus,Osiris, and Mithras!}
2.) The bible states that "Man was made in the image of Elohim." [ In Hebrew]
a) EL=Male God [ In Hebrew]
b) ELO or ELA= Goddess [ In Hebrew]
c) IM= plural [ In Hebrew]
So, believing that you and I are the sons and daughters of The Mother/Father God, WE as his children complete the trinity.
All of the above God's which were of Pagan beliefs, had been crucified, buried in a stone tomb,was born of a virgin, and had ressurected within 3 days! The eating of a God's body is also a Pagan ritual.
Many christians do not know that EVERY, and I mean EVERY holy day they celebrate, was stolen from Pagan Holidays, and renamed!
Talk about being indoctrinated! {Believing in what your parents or family believes in prior to investigation.}
I am a Gnostic. Gnosis=knowledge.
Two thousand years ago, if I started a religion stating a little red-suited man was our Savior, and killed off all those who believed otherwise,(study the Holy Wars) we might be presently be believing in Santa as our God and his Elves as Angels!
TheHell/Devil thing was a manipulation to control the masses through fear/guilt.
No...religion is for those who are afraid to seek,knock and ask. Those who are afraid to find the truth, and expect to be handed all the answers without investigating the facts for themselves.
Any religion who has to kill off those with different beliefs than their own, is a religion based on maniulation,control,dictatorship, and just plain EGO!
One of the Pope Pauls was quoted in the newspaper stating,
"This Jesus myth has proven to be very profitable for our church."
You do the math...Study all the major religions as I have.
Then study what the christians FORBID you to study.
Therein may be your TRUTH!
Blessed Be!

I'm glad church is a thing of the past, but I'd probably still be there had I not realized there is nothing that remotely suggests even the *possible* existence of any He, She or It.
