and can i stop that from happening?

It happens with a lot of breeds.Corgis have tiny ears when they are puppies,but they very rapidly grow into large,shepherd type ears.It's just the way it is,and no,you can't stop it.

Uh, no! It's like a person... they start out so tiny and get big. Would you want someone to try and change you? If you don't like how the breed is, then don't get one! They are going to grow and that's how they'll be. You can't change the dog. There are breed standards that the dog should fit, but it's not always the case. Do some research!
