This concept, like dozens of others, thoroughly exposes the unreasonableness of so-called trinitarianism. The Lord Jesus is powerful and blessed, but Jesus Christ the Son is a distinct person from Jehovah God the Father.

Entire passages and important bible concepts literally require Jesus the Son to be a separate person from God the Father. Who created Jesus? To whom did Jesus pray? Who resurrected Jesus? At whose right hand does Jesus sit?

The bible teaches that the only-begotten Son of God has always enjoyed an elevated position, unsurprising in that he assisted in the creation of every other being. But Christ Jesus the Son has been given even GREATER glory and authority than he previously had. Since Jesus' resurrection to heaven, the bible indicates that: no salvation occurs without Christ, accepting Christ's sacrifice is a requirement for true worship, every prayer must acknowledge Christ, Christ is the King of God's Kingdom, Christ is the head of the Christian congregation, and Christ is now immortal.

But the bible explicitly notes that it is only since his resurrection that Jesus (the Son) was now in every way "better than the angels" and that Jehovah (the Father) elevated him thusly (emphasis has been added to most of these citations)...

(Hebrews 1:3-4) [Jesus] sat down on the right hand of the Majesty [Jehovah] in lofty places. So he HAS BECOME better than the angels

(Matthew 28:18) And Jesus approached and spoke to them, saying: "All authority has been GIVEN ME in heaven and on the earth.

(Acts 2:36) God MADE HIM both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you impaled.

(John 3:35) The Father loves the Son and HAS GIVEN all things into his hand.

(Acts 5:31) GOD EXALTED this one as Chief Agent and Savior to his right hand

(Psalm 2:2-6) The kings of earth take their stand And high officials themselves have massed together as one against Jehovah AND against his anointed one... Jehovah himself will hold them in derision..., Saying: "I, even I, HAVE INSTALLED my king [Jesus]

Here are a few additional Scriptures which expose the truth that Jesus is a distinct person from Jehovah:

(Philippians 2:5-6) Christ Jesus, who, although he was existing in God's form, gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God

(John 8:42) Neither have I come of my own initiative at all, but that One sent me forth

(1 Corinthians 15:28) But when all things will have been subjected to him, then the Son himself will also subject himself to the One who subjected all things to him

(1 Corinthians 11:3) I want you to know that the head of every man is the Christ; ...in turn the head of the Christ is God

(Deuteronomy 6:4) Jehovah our God is one Jehovah

Thanks again for an opportunity to share what the bible actually says about the distinct persons of Jesus Christ the Son and Jehovah God the Father!

Well, it involves a slight bit of contortionism and the majority use of only the left hand.

Or maybe it's the multiple-personality aspect of the supreme being(s) that allows such shenanigans.

Or maybe it's just a figure of speech invented by early Christians and ratified at the Council of Nicaea in 325 CE to nail down the trinitarian concept as official and make unitarianism a heresy.

You decide.

I like the first answer. When we know that God can be anywhere He wanst, I am sure this includes He can "sit" on His own right.

It could also mean that His Word is Just and God keeps His Word on the right side of Him.

The Lord is talking to Jesus here. He is saying Jesus will sit at his right hand-- not sit on his own hand!

That all leads back to there being the Holy Trinity. The Holy Trinity is God, the father; God, the son; and God, the holy spirit.

If you can't sit on your own right hand, it means you need to cut back on the burgers and shakes.

(KJV) Psa 110:1 The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

(Darby) Psa 110:1 Jehovah said unto my Lord, Sit at my right hand, until I put thine enemies [as] footstool of thy feet.

Clearly the LORD Jehovah is sitting on the throne where the Lord Jesus is shown waiting on his right hand to rule for a short 1,000 years.
