not understand our theories of God?

If the Trinity is one God in three persons, then why can't we believe in one God in many persons? That would easily explain how our heavenly Father can have a Father and a grandfather, etc.

The sciptures don't tell us to worship any God but our Heavenly Father. No matter how many there are that can be called "god", they are not OUR God.

The phrase "God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit" is no where in the Bible.

i've got not got self belief that the poster wisely meditated the Christian view. there is not any scriptural assure that Christians are happier than non-Christians, or that turning to Christianity will make somebody happier (opposite to the coaching of a few preachers). Christians will make an excellent difference between happiness (something this is basically motivated via situations and our psychological physique of strategies in the direction of them) and the Biblical term 'exhilaration'. Non-Christians can incredibly adventure greater perfect situations in existence than Christians. in actuality, the scripture teaches that there is a fee to being a follower of Christ featuring some very unhappy issues. yet exhilaration comes from a self belief that our sins are forgiven, that we are going to by no potential would desire to stand the wrath of the writer of the universe, that interior the tip all would be made top, that our existence won't end whilst our physique is destroyed, and that God will acquire the attention that he's due. that's that exhilaration that enables the Christian to stand loosing a job, loosing a baby, or loosing a existence with self belief amidst the sadness.

By the same token that God is love, but love is not necessarily God. Just because a statement is true does not make the reverse of the statement true.
Yes, the Trinity is one God in three persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

He is God, the only God.

To answer your question, Catholic Theology concerning the principle that there is only one God (monotheism) is captured in Isaiah 43:10:

"You are My witnesses," declares the LORD, "And My servant whom I have chosen, So that you may know and believe Me And understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, And there will be none after Me.

So in Catholic doctrine, God did not have any predecessors since there were no God before Him. The belief that God exists as one being and yet as three separate beings (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) is known as the Mystery of the Trinity...

Your theory is interesting, but of course it contradicts the Bible teaching about who GOD is, and Christians believe in the trinity because the concepts of it are in the bible.

GOD is eternal, Jesus has always been, and is, and is to come. He came to earth, but existed before that, with God the Father. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. God the Father was not born, but always has been and will be, "I AM."

It seems to be you who does not understand the "theories" of God -- and not even the truths about God! As in response to your other posts --Read a bible!

It all started with pagan beliefs: = Mind, body, spirit.
Their were many trinity's within the pagan religions. When early christianity was formed the goal was to combine Paganism, with Judiaism. The Jews didn't except Jesus as the savior, and the pagans having several Gods with the Trinity aspect, felt ripped off, considering the christian's stole all the dates of the pagan celebrations, and renamed them, to honor Jesus and Mary. Thye trinity is believed to be one God/three aspects. God the father, sending his son Jesus, who leaves behind for us the holy spirit.

Basic truth is: your mind affects your body, abusing both can affect you soul. When mind, body and spirit are balanced, by living a loving and spiritual life, you can feel as if you are living in a Heaven on earth, even in such hard times as these, due to the fact that you refuse to ignore the beauty in life, regardless of the unbalanced folks' (Bin Laden, Hitler etc.) fearful beliefs, and need to kill to rule and dominate. I'm with you hon, as far as I believe God is in all of us. He still leaves us choice. It's sad to think that there's a religion out there that believes God rewards them with with 27 virgins for killing americans. One thing is for sure, God certainly doesn't take away our power-of-choice!
Look up Mithrras, Osiris, and Dionysus, you will not only see the Trinity aspect BEFORE the time of Jesus, you will see they all had the same birthday (the 25), a virgin birth, & a resurrection from a stoned tomb!

Why cant we believe in one God in many persons?
If a somebody is a Christian, they're a follower of Christ. The Bible shows us Christ so in order to be Christian you would follow what the Bible says. There is no evidence in the Bible of any other part of God other than The Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost. That's it.

Children, children you are not understanding the Godhead (not trinity).
God is not 3 persons that teaching would mean there are 3 gods.
Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost are the characteristics of God.

God came to earth in the form of man.....Jesus Christ.......when Jesus ascended into heaven He promised to send the Holy Ghost to dwell in believers.
A ghost is a spirit of a departed one.
That could only happen once Jesus Christ left us.
Do you understand now, children.?

The Trinity is not a separate entity. There are three functions but one God. 1. Acted as God in creation. 2. The son in redeeming mankind back to himself by becoming flesh as we are. 3. The spirit that resides within all of us who are born again. It may be difficult for you to understand but as you continue to pray and seek Gods wisdom, he will reveal to you who he is.
