Obviously I mean engine, as Solara so graciously pointed out..a motor is an electrical device.

You Can put any motor you want from a 302,327,305,350,383,400,407,454,502, block
All the above are GM
what matters is the motor mount locations will change with the size of the Big Blocks 454,502, along with the steering rod location to the rack and pinion and if you want headers. next will be the transmissions you can run a TH350 or 400TH
or a e460l 480l tranny found in most all V8 camaros and 1/2 ton chevy trucks or the 700r4 which was used in 1987-1992.
firebirds and camaros.

the only engines obtainable in a 'fifty seven have been the 235 6 cylinder, 265 V8, or the recent for the 300 and sixty 5 days 283 V8. The 283 may be the only to decide for in case you have been going for inventory engines, yet a 350 or 4 hundred, or the uncomplicated combination of the 4 hundred crank interior the 350 making a 383 could in advantageous condition top in there, and once you're careful you additionally could make it look almost like a inventory 283. it actual relies upon on what style of vehicle you're searching for. in case you do no longer care approximately inventory appearances, a crate 502 engine will slot in surprisingly plenty and supply effective stable ability with out any device artwork in any respect.

305 or 350 will pretty easily fit...seeing as thats the other engine options...as for price depends on what you want...new or used? a new or remanufactured engine will set you back about $1500 or so (stock) however if you want to get a crate performance engine the prices go up from there...a used one from a junkyard will probably set you back about $300 to $500 depending on location... most junkyards will give you a 30 day warranty...no money back they will just give you another one if the 1st one is junk...
