I have these horizontal short stretch mark like lines on my back and over the past month or so seems to be increasing. I havent lost or gain weight lately so I have no idea what is causing them.

They may be the pre-cursor to stretch marks. I have had similar occurrences on my lower back, and luckily they never ended up turning into full-fledged stretch marks.

Sometimes they don't happen because of weight but because of growth spurts.
