My dad is a completely worthless human being, I don't know if he is religious or not but even if he is he is still going to hell.
My mom raised me on her own with very little help from anyone. She went back to school and did as good by me as she could. She is not religious at all, I think she believes in some form of god (certainly not a christian god) but I have heard her discuss religion maybe twice in my life.

Hmmm, if you mean physically, then I hope that I am closer to my male progenitor, if for no other reason than that he is still wearing the same monkey suit that he had on when I was busy getting back into this odd, presumptuous, but somehow strangely interesting little 'realm'.
If you mean energetically, then that would still be same answer, for all sorts of reasons, most of which are far too personal for me to go into here.
Neither of my progenitors was 'religious' during their current manifestations, although the fear did get to my 'mother' in the end, and it wasn't a pretty sight. There's nothing more suspect than 'deathbed' conversions.
I have to vote with the Coyote to a certain extent though, there were dark rumours that I wasn't born at all, but merely found lurking under a toadstool ! :-)))

Closer to my dad, although he is dead now for 18 years. Parents as religious, not sure really.

My mother was Catholic but changed her mind when the church excommunicated her because she and my father divorced.
My father has always been atheist.
I am very close to my father and he to all his children. Good relationship with mother. They both have had enormous struggle to overcome but both have integrity in all they do. My father is a Horticulural Scientist taught his children to hug trees.. and I'm talking 50 years and more ago... ..... my mother as long as I can remember has been a keen environmentalist and a member of Amnesty International and a vocal defendent of refugees etc
Cheers

I'm Jewish. My mom is Jewish (hence why I am as well, lol) but my father was raised Catholic. I don't get along with my father at all, but it's not wholly due to his upbringing. I'm very close to my mom. We're each others' strength when the other needs it.

My dad's a Mormon and my mom's a Satanist. My dad is much more pleasant to be around.
By the way...they're divorced!
