I don't know whether i want to love him and be friends with him or not, He really hurt me and i don't know what to do

Love is not suppose to hurt and he has already done that.

The "I still want to be friends' Never works. I tried with my ex-fiance and she broke the engagement and I treated her with respect and emailed her and told her I still care about her and want to still be friends but then she started treating me badly like she would rather have me hurting badly (which i do) then to be friends. I do not get it but it just does not work

I would leave him alone, he has already hurt you why would you want to be his friend, he does not care about your feelings. I would move on.
