Tony Stewart just doesn't have the teamwork with his partner as Jimmy Johnson and Jeff Gordon have. Right at the end of the race, after running so hard up front, Tony lost his position. He was high on the track and went low to block Jimmy Johnson from passing, then when he went to the top of the track he got burried to the 7th position. It seems like Tony chokes right at the end of the race. What is he doing at the end of the race that keeps him from winning?

Tony should have been immediatley black flagged for aggressive driving. Im sure all you people will give me a negative response but Tony was blocking and you CANNOT move your car back and forth so violently between lanes. He could have caused a major major accident. His stupidity got in the way and cost him a chance at a win. If you know anything about NASCAR, he was doing what SR did when he got killed. Its a silly move to make and a dangerous one at that.

He was leading until the Hendrick Motorsports cars ( Casey Mears #5, Jimmie Johnson #48, And Jeff Gordon #24) came up to the front at the end, Tony Stewart #20 finished in the 4th position.

This is a typical blocking tactic that is used by all drivers to protect their position.
Tony was attempting to confuse the following pack as to which way he was going, thus he teligraphed his moves to the other drivers who made their move on Tony.
The classic slingshpt of Gordon passed Johnson and in front of Tony was great and looked like something from the unrestrickted days at Talladega.

He was trying to find a drafting partner, in the fastest lane. He was moving up toward the lead, with help from Kasey Kahne, when Jeff Gordon moved up to block him. To Jeff's surprise, Tony bumped him into the lead, but Stewart was left out to dry. Stewart had the fastest qualifying time of the cars that didn't use a qualifying set up, and the best times in both of Friday's practices, so it was obvious he had one of the best cars out there. He just couldn't find a partner who wanted to finish second.

I am not sure what he was doing. At first I thought he jumped down to get a push from Jimmie because the bottom line was coming faster than the top. Then he jumped back up to the top, so I thought maybe he didn't like it down there, lol. Do you really think he was blocking? I could see trying to block like that on the last lap, but there was several to go yet. He is lucky he didn't get shuffled back any further than he did. That caution came right at the right time for him. He was on his way to the back!

He was not trying to block, he was looking for help to get to the the front. but when your an ****** like he is, and as good as he is? help is hard to find, and frankly, i dint think he had the car today. Hey look, everyone knows Stewart is very aggressive. and it gets him in trouble some times, but its also what makes him such a great driver. like it or not. Q: Who is the one guy on the circut that reminds me of Dale Earnhardt Sr.? (driving style, not personality) Tony Stewart. Who knows more about winning? Gordon. Who are the two biggest cry baby's? Gordon and Stewart. Who might be better than both? Jimmie Johnson! think about this, Johnson already has 28 wins. Wow! that's amazing.

He was trying to stay out front. It was him against 2 pairs of team mates and we all know that 2 cars are faster than one so he tried to get in front of the faster car, but when he went high he got hung out. I think he knew it was coming because he didn't have a teammate to push him. All the other drivers stuck with their teams.

He lost his position and the race by trying to block Jimmy Johnson. He has no one to blame but himself. Perhaps next time the situation is the same he will know better. I call it a mistake, just a costly mistake. He'll learn from it.

He was trying to block and play both sides of the draft but the two lines of cars were so spread out, when he moved from one line to the next he moved over too far allowing the second line of cars to get underneath him and he fell back.

That was nobody's fault but his trying to hold off two lines of cars.
