One man's freedom fighter is another man's terrorist [or guerilla]- Ronald Reagan
Che was Fidel Castro's lieutenant when they fought the Cuban revolution. Castro exiled him (that's gratitude). So he headed for south America where he led othwer countries in their wars of independence against Spain.
For many Hispanics he is a great hero, kinda like Geoprge Washington, the bastard thattorched our farms and villages in 1759.

People seem to remember what they want, no matter what the facts are. They see Guevara as a revolutionary, but neglect all the people he killed.
BTW. Guevara was no Guy Fawkes, he did not "liberate" South America from the Spanish (Simon Bolivar did that a century before), and Castro could not allow Guevara to kill anybody you he disagreed with him.

Not saying I support him, but if you lived on the other side of the border youd understand. All of latin america was created out of colonialism and even after being liberated is still under heavy influence from foreign powers to the point where foreigners with money have more rights than tthe citizens

I guess people love a rebel. I find it amusing that so many liberals who are against the Iraq war wear a t-shirt that pretty much praises a socialist guerilla. Anti-war indeed.

Because many of the ones who wear his picture on their shirts and say his name and so on, don't bother actually reading and looking into the history of who and what he was. Heck there are people that would be doing the same with Hitler but we all know a lot about that fool. That's just how I see it.
