"Sweaterbox" is no Low German word, I'm sorry. The only word to sound similar is "Schietbüx" or "Schieterbüx". That's a pet-name for small children. But it's not meaning "head", no, not at all. Sometimes it happens that adults use this word for kidding if they are very familiar with each other.

Nein, das ist Kopf.

Could be regional slang referring to a hatted head? In our area each community of old order Amish and Mennonite have their own sub-dialect, yet intercommunicate very well.

They all use High German in Church, and Martin Luther's Translation of the Bible.
