Nascar should keep the current format except after some also ran crashes during the green-white-check the race is not over (and this always seems to happen). They clear the track and then have only the top ten cars restart for a second green-white-checker. If there is a wreck at that point they race to the finish. With only ten cars out there there is no chance of anyone running into the wrecked car or cars and hurting someone.

You're a track paramedic. There's a car wrecked up against the outside wall. It's on fire, and the driver isn't moving. Knowing that ten cars are about to come screaming out of Turn 4 at 180 mph, do you drive your ambulance across the track to get to the injured driver? Or do you sit there and wait a minute until they go by?

Unlike some other older fans, I like the GWC, because nothing is more of an anticlimax than a finish under caution. It ain't broke, though, and doesn't need fixing.

Check out the results of the last race before the Craftsman Truck race had before the one gwc rule was put in affect. They had to finish under green. There were I believe 4 gwc before they finished, including one truck wrecking on its side.

Look at a short track shootout. That is 4 to 8 cars, and they still can wreck.

If I'm 11th, your not going to allow me to gain positions? Leave the rule alone.

This is a danger waiting to happen.
The G-W-C as is is the best idea at the present time.
Even 10 cars on a shoot out is a danger as any Saturday night fan or driver will tell you.
As a former track safty crew let it stand.

Get out of hear.
How about this get rid of this dumb a#* rule. Never seen such a ridiculous rule until all the knew people started watching NASCAR CUP and they didn't understand the sport so then ASSCAR was formed to help the needy to like there series.
This one is rule they didn't need, don't need, and should unload as fast as they can. It was introduced if I remember right to get people to watch there truck races. That is where it should stay.
Someone who comes up with something like this is obviously a new watcher who has absolutely any care of trying to keep this sport some what respectable. They do something like this and NASCAR WOULD for sure be more of a joke than it has become today around the world for there " new fan friendly rules" LMAO

They can't improve on what they have now and avoid additional safety concerns. mmo1 is correct in his scenario, which is why they came up with the "frozen field" rule in the first place.
CTS used to allow up to four GWC's in a race, but that only resulted in more wreckage.
