Goat cheese is usually lower in fat than cow's milk cheese, but it really depens on which cheeses you are comparing.

Everyone's food journey is different. It does not surprise me to hear you say that. I became vegetarian for health reasons but it then turned into a "I don't like animal abuse" reasons without a conscious effort. When I first went veg I didn't mind the smell of cooking meat. The further away (in years) I got from eating meat, the more the smell of meat repulsed me. It was not something I did on purpose; it just happened. I've never eaten buffalo either and the idea of it makes me feel unwell. When I walk past a butcher or fresh seafood place my stomach turns. So, it is just your body's way of telling you it is not right for you to eat it. Go with your instinct and try going vegan. :-) I'm almost vegan now and very happy with the improvements in my health.

If you have trouble with dairy products, you'll probably do better on goat cheese. You'll need a lot less, since it's much richer.

Cheese is cheese. It has fat and calories like any other. It is not lowfat, but it is very yummy. I like it baked on a pizza or baguette rounds.
What is normal cheese?
All cheese from cows is different in texture flavor, fat content moisture content and some are eaten unripened and some are aged.

I don't know about healthier, but I know it's greasier.
It has a higher fat content, but I'm not sure if the protein count is higher or not.
