Criminal Justice? No way. If you even "think" criminal you can't do the job. A Safe and Vault technician needs to be a Mechanic. A strong knowledge of hand tools and the proper use. Metallurgy would be a plus degree, Mechanical Engineering background and degree is a foot in the door. Years of apprenticeship with a known firm would help. They don't just let anybody "jiggle the locks"!

There is no degree for this. There are locksmith schools which teach a specialized safe cirriculum, like Lockmasters.
