My wonderful cat is not feeling right. He is such a lovely sweet affectionate cat. The whole day he has been laying under a bed, not moving, and howling awfully loud...it is so sad to hear. I moved him onto a softer area to make him comfy and when I think he has fallen asleep he just howls SO SO loud like he is in pain.

It doesnt seem like he has broken any bones, and I have tried "pressing" all over his body and there dont seem to be any super sensitive spots. He has puked just a little bit.

What could be wrong with him? Stoumach ache?

He is a totally healthy cat, this is so random and I feel so bad for him :(

We are going to the vet ASAP in the AM

Since cats don't show pain (due to it being a sign of weakness in the wild), your cat is seriously ill. He needs to go to the vet ASAP. I fear you will have a dead cat if you wait.

I'm sorry to hear about your cat. If it is a male, I would call the vet now and not wait until the am, you want to get him to a hospital asap. He may have a blocked bladder. I had a cat that the same thing happened to. I was told it was easier to put him to sleep because the surgery doesn't always work and it is costly. I was going to do that and was so hysterical at the vet's office that they did the surgery that was not a guarantee. I was willing to keep the catheter in and take the extra care to make him better and it all seemed fine. He died two months later. The longer he goes without help, the less chance he has, I'm sorry to say. I hope his bladder is not the case. I would love to hear how it turns out, I'll be hoping for the best. I'm so sorry he's in pain.

Cat Howling

It sounds to me like he has a bladder problem called Feline Urolithiasis and Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (flutd). And yes it does cause a great deal of pain for them because they can't urinate and they get bladder infections because they can't urinate. Have you ever had a bladder infection? I have and they can be very painful.
I have a female cat that when she exhibits signs like your cat is doing then I know that she has a bladder infection again and needs to be on antibiotics again....
So yes take your kitty into the vet in the am as the sooner you get this treated the better the results will be. The treatment includes a change in diet, medication, and sometimes surgery.
The problem if that is what it is, seems to come on suddenly, but it is manageable and with a change in diet and some medication the problem usually doesn't come back.

Had a call from my brother yesterday which I was working. He said that Tuffy was not acting right. He ate and then threw up. Later he was found meowing behind the couch and while picked up especially by his bottom he yelp. This was at or around 330-4pm. My brother was with him on the floor and when I opened the door at 6pm he was crying. I knew tuffy was gone. I called the emergency and explained what was happening and she the doctor on call had told me tuffy was in heart failure and there was nothing we can do and if we brought him in, they would do the best to make him pass. Its hard to loose a pet. He was only 6 1/2 years old. Healthy and fit. I guess maybe he had something that we couldn't even see. It was a quick death. We took him to our animal hospital and made arrangements and cremation with a urn. He will be back in our home soon. love him and will be missed. But with the paid, howling and not moving. this was it. At least he had one of us home to the end.

If you have an emergency vet, I suggest that you call and inform them of your cats symptoms and ask about possible pain relief for your cat. We waited until the next day as well and it turned out to be too late. Make sure he takes in liquids and is kept warm at least. I hope you both feel better.

I hate to say this but you cat may have had a stroke.
How old is he? Is he an indoor only cat?
If he goes outside, he may have gotten into some poison.

Time is of the essence, I would take him to an emergency vet clinic ASAP! I know it is costly but he is in pain and needs to be seen.

Good luck and my prayers are with you.

your cat might have eaten something he is not familiar to or something he is allergic to.. or he might have a stomach ache. if he is somewhere just laying there just leave him alone so he can rest. it might be sick so i tottaly don't blame you for wanting to take him to the vet asap in the morning but i would take him now if i were you it might be really serious...try to comfort him let him know that u want him to get better really really soon. i really hope he get's better soon!!! =D
